  • Bookings at Mindfinch Psychology are currently open and appointments are available Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

  • GPs provide Mental Health assessment, where you describe the symptoms you are experiencing related to mental health. Should they consider it appropriate, they can create a Mental Health Care Plan that allows you to access Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

    It significantly reduces the cost per session for up to 10 sessions in one calendar year. Once you have paid for a session in full, an invoice with all the relevant information can be used to claim a rebate.

  • In order for a GP referral to be valid it needs the following information:

    • Date of referral

    • Client Name, Address and Date of birth

    • A description/list of symptoms or a diagnosis (if available)

    • A request to provide a service, for example, "Dear Psychologist, I am referring Client X for you to see for 6 or 4 sessions in order to help manage symptoms of Anxiety and Depression.”

    • GPs signature

    • GPs provider number and practice details

  • Yes, I have a Medicare provider number which allows you to use your GP referral for up to 10 sessions you have with me. All your invoices will have the information you need to claim a rebate through Medicare, which you can do through their app.
